How the club directory in Snapshot Scoring works, what following a club actually does, and what to do when the club you shoot isn’t in the list — which, right now, most aren’t.
What the directory is, and what it isn’t
Discover Clubs lists clubs that already run on Snapshot Scoring. It is not a national register of action shooting clubs, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise — if a club has never used the app, it isn’t in there.
That matters for how you use it. The directory is good for seeing which clubs near you publish results here and following them. It is not the tool for discovering that a club exists in the first place.
Browsing and following
- Create a free account at app.snapshotscoring.com/register if you haven’t. Nothing here needs a club to approve you.
- Open Discover Clubs and search. You’ll get the clubs on the platform, with a profile for each.
- Follow the ones you shoot. Following puts that club’s events into your feed, so you see what’s scheduled without checking a Facebook group.
Following is one-way and costs the club nothing. It doesn’t notify them, doesn’t enroll you in anything, and doesn’t give you scores — those come from your club actually scoring matches on Snapshot Scoring.
Your club isn’t listed
Most aren’t yet. The honest answer is that there’s nothing you can do from your side to add them — a club appears in the directory when it starts running matches here, and that decision belongs to whoever runs it.
What you can do is tell us the club exists. We log it, and we don’t email them out of the blue: a nomination isn’t permission to contact anyone. If you’re willing to make an introduction instead, that’s the path that actually goes somewhere.
In the meantime the practice log, your equipment and your loadouts all work regardless. None of them need a club.
